A Message From Our President and HUGE Announcements. Let’s PARTY!

Hello West Michigan Marketers! After 3 years on the Board of AMA, I’m very excited to be kicking this year off as the President of our West Michigan Chapter! It’s such an honor to be leading the most incredible group of professionals that represent the oldest professional organization in West Michigan. Our new season begins soon and I’m thrilled to let you know what’s been going on behind the scenes. We’ve worked diligently this summer to enhance our events in creative ways and have put together an impressive lineup of speakers and programming for our luncheon events that you won’t want to miss. I know everyone that attends will leave feeling energized, informed, and ready to get to work!

We are kicking this season off with our “Meet the Board – Speed Dating Style” party! This event will offer an organized but casual exercise in which attendees will be able to get to know our AMAzing board members while also discovering what our chapter is all about. Come see us on Tuesday, August 23rd at Gray Skies Distillery and enjoy some delicious cocktails and snacks from Two Scott’s!

This event is free for both members and non-members and will feature a cash bar and snack offerings. (Even though it’s free, we still need a headcount – make sure you get registered here!)

We will also reveal our biggest surprise for the year! I can’t share too much, but I can say we’ll be announcing the new venue for our luncheon events! However, you’ll need to attend if you want to be among the first to find out what venue we’ll be filling this season! You shouldn’t count on any spoilers, but you should count on the new spot being a unique, well-known space, that will encourage everyone to connect and get excited about marketing! The food will be outstanding and the atmosphere will inspire everyone in attendance. I can sense the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) in the air and I can barely contain my excitement!

Speaking of our board members, I’m also very excited about our wildly passionate team! We have a dedicated and talented group that is able to draw from their diverse backgrounds and experience in marketing and utilize that knowledge to shape this chapter into something truly unique. They continue to put in the extra work needed to develop meaningful programming that we strongly believe will benefit all attendees. The AMA West Michigan is a vibrant chapter that’s ready to pop off this year, and it’s all because of them! (You can read more about the team here)

We all know the marketing industry in West Michigan is equally tough and fulfilling, and there’s no better way to stay inspired then making time for the “play hard” side of it. We can’t wait to see those familiar faces and, hopefully, a ton of new ones at our upcoming kickoff event and luncheon events!
