Get into the industry early.

The marketers you'll meet at an AMA West Michigan event are the same people reviewing internship applications and hiring for entry-level roles. Being in the room matters.

Mentorship. Connect with working marketers who remember exactly what it's like to be where you are.

Real events. Student-rate access to the same luncheons and workshops the professionals attend — no student-track version, the real thing.

A résumé that stands out. AMA involvement shows initiative, and it gives you stories to tell in interviews.

Campus chapters. Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University both run active AMA collegiate chapters. Joining nationally? Check the AMA West Michigan box during signup and you're automatically part of this chapter too.

How to join

Two ways in.

  • Campus chapter. If your school has an AMA collegiate chapter, join there — it plugs you into both your campus and this professional chapter.
  • Direct collegiate membership. No campus chapter? Join nationally at the collegiate rate and take part in AMA West Michigan events directly.
